JUNE 2021 UPDATE:  PHASE ONE IS NOW COMPLETE!

THANK YOU REV. PACE AND FRIENDS!  (Go to Renovation Photo Gallery to see more images).

THE RENOVATION PROJECT PLAN

For more than 100 years the Fort Worth Association of Federated Women 's Clubs has provided a place for activities of African American women in Fort Worth.  Over 70 years ago the building was purchased with donations of 25 and 50 cents.  It is the first building bought and owned by black women in our community.

Our mission is to promote a close relationship among women of the City of Fort Worth, to assist in the development of the social, economic, moral, educational, civic and religious welfare of women and to afford facilities for the helpful interchange of ideas.  Our organization is comprised of 8 civic clubs and our goal is to provide a safe place for these organizations to provide a range of vital services to women and children in the Fort Worth community.

Four phases are outlined for the renovation project, and members have once again kicked off the capital campaign initiative with individual pledges and sacrificial giving. The renovations to improve our space will ensure that we can continue to provide for current and future community activities including:

  • Senior Activity Days
  • Educational Classes
  • Job Certification
  • Youth Group Activities
  • Neighborhood Event/Meeting Center
  • Voter Registration Drives
  • Prom Give Away

Our building will be remodeled to  complement the redevelopment of the historical Evans-Rosedale corridor. The newly renovated  building will allow us to better serve the women of our Fort Worth community.
